First look inside the luxury spa opening at a Cheshire countryside hotel this Easter2 min read
A hotel in Cheshire is set to open a 15-metre serenity swimming pool and Finnish sauna this Easter. The four-star Manor House Hotel in Alsager, nestled in the heart of the east Cheshire countryside, is expanding to offer a brand new luxury spa, with phase one ready for the Bank Holiday weekend.
From Thursday, April 14, guests will be able to take a dip in the new indoor pool, which boasts a glass ceiling, and relax in the comfy day beds. They will also be able to access the panoramic sauna and steam room.
The entire spa development will be completed in the autumn. The new addition of the spa is inspired by the hotel’s rural location and will offer both indoor and outdoor wellness experiences, making the most of natural light and fresh air.

The new courtyard outdoors offers a unique ‘Salt Shed’ experience – with a Himalayan Salt wall, lavender cauldron, and ergonomic seating where guests can relax in 40 degree heat with a guided meditation session. Three new treatment rooms have been built within the original farmhouse and include two for double treatments and one for single.
British spa brand Tribe517 has been selected by the hotel to provide a range of face and body treatments including therapeutic massages and refining facials using hand blended natural ingredients. Jessica Mellors, general manager at Manor House Alsager said: “The development of our beautiful new spa is part of our mission to become a leading leisure destination and bring an exciting new spa experience to the area.
“The new spa complements our successful Hotel & AA Rosette restaurant offering and will enable us to offer guests a wider wellbeing experience.” The new facility’s signature spa experience is the ‘English Spa Garden’ – which looks out onto the fields beyond.
This package includes access to the sauna, steam room, spa pool, outdoor open-air vitality pool, hot tub, outdoor heated sensory seating areas, an indoor spa dining area, and relaxation spaces. Guests can enjoy a full or half-day away with the option to extend their experience with an overnight spa break.
The independent family-owned hotel, which started life as a 17th-century farmhouse, boasts 52 rooms, modern conference and banqueting facilities, and the locally renowned AA Rosette restaurant; The Stables Bar & Grill – serving delicious locally sourced food and fine wine.
A range of spa days and spa stays are available with prices starting from £95 per person. www.manorhousealsager.com
