Flipkart signs MoU with Bengal govt to support artisans, weavers, handicraft makers

Flipkart announced that it has signed a memorandum of comprehension with the West Bengal governing administration to educate and assist nearby artisans, weavers and handicraft makers to leverage its e-commerce system to scale up their companies nationally.

The arrangement was signed with the state’s micro, smaller and medium enterprises and textiles division.

West Bengal’s MSME department Principal Secretary Rajesh Pandey said on this announcement, “We are targeted on deepening our determination to MSMEs in the point out and assisting their growth. This partnership will boost enhancement of artisans, weavers, little companies and MSMEs by furnishing entry to alternatives that e-commerce permits.”

He also claimed these initiatives will be instrumental in driving the professional and social improvement in the state by producing inclusive growth.

Rajneesh Kumar, Flipkart Group Main Corporate Affairs Officer commented on this and reported it will be instrumental in driving the economic progress of weavers, artisans and modest organizations with the e-commerce company’s nationwide current market entry.

“As a homegrown organization, we are passionate about our sellers’ advancement, building an inclusive e-commerce ecosystem and continually innovate to locate new methods to uplift and empower all sections of society, specifically MSMEs,” he explained.
