Iowa-Maryland women’s sport postponed because of inauguration

Higher education PARK, Md. (AP) — The women’s basketball recreation among No. 7 Maryland and Iowa, scheduled for Thursday evening, has been postponed for the reason that the Hawkeyes do not want to travel with the inauguration staying held 1 working day earlier.
Iowa was scheduled to fly into Baltimore-Washington Global Airport on Wednesday night. But Maryland posted news of the postponement on Tuesday night, noting, “Out of warning owing to Wednesday’s inauguration things to do in Washington, D.C., Iowa produced the selection to not vacation to Maryland.”
