Eight ladies have been getting aspect in the inaugural sessions and 10 a lot more have signed up for the following round of workshops that start in March.

Lezlie Upshaw, who is Upshaw’s cousin, is yet another participant in the plan. She’s 35 and said it can be tricky to find business applications that are open up to folks in her age group. 

She started her business, SpiritKissed, very last summer season, and spends most days in her kitchen earning natural tub merchandise that address agony.

Proper now, Tia Upshaw is funding the mentorship method herself through her small business, Leading Notch Cleaners. She also oversees rental qualities and owns an on the web garments store.

Her firms require 24/7 notice, she claimed, which often means she misses out on time with mates or household. That’s one particular of the lessons Upshaw wishes she realized when she began out.
